Appointments

Routine appointments

Routine appointments are available as face to face, telephone appointments or online via the PATCHS platform.

All appointments are triaged using a Care Navigation System which is helping us to prioritise patients clinical need and ensures you are treated by the most appropriate clinician.

Practice Nurses

The practice nurses are qualified general nurses who have decided to specialise in primary care work. If you need to see the nurse please ring the surgery to make an appointment. The nurse works closely with the doctors and they are committed to promoting good health and preventing illness.

As we have Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants  it is very helpful if you can give some idea of the type of help that you need in order to book the right appointment for you.

Telephone Access

The practice tries to ensure the telephone will be answered promptly and that there are sufficient staff to do this. Please listen to the messages on the phone as these are updated regularly.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:00 if you require a home visit.

Reception staff will ask for details of why a home visit is required.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

You can be visited at home by one of our visiting service paramedics if the GP feels that this is appropriate.
